About

CiteAnyStyle exists because the specialised styles are the badly served ones. Chemistry, engineering, law and medicine each have their own manual, and the large citation sites are built around APA and MLA, so everything else is an afterthought or sits behind a subscription.

What we do differently

Metadata comes from public catalogues rather than a language model, formatting follows the published style manuals rather than a best guess, and every style page states which edition it was checked against and when. Details are on the methodology page.

Contact

Corrections, missing styles and bug reports: hello@citeanystyle.com. A wrong reference is a bug, so please send the input and the expected output and we will fix the rule, not just the example.

Editorial ownership

Each style will carry a named reviewer as we publish it, alongside the review date. Until a style names one, the review line records the date only. We would rather show less than imply an authority that is not there yet.
